The Oscar Awards
Oscars® for the 73rd Annual
Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, March 25, by
the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Visit
the official Academy Awards website, oscar.com, for
additional coverage and Film Archive, that now contains
over 15,000 film and video items dating from the earliest
era of the cinema to the latest achievements in visual
effects, and representing the Academy's various areas of
interest and activity over the years. In addition to
works of masters such as Griffith, Chaplin and Keaton,
the Archive has films by pioneers Lumiere and Melies, and
the Paper Print Collection of early motion pictures,
while the breadth of the silent film period is covered in
the Blackhawk collection.
