People's Republic of China and on
China's National Television,
viewed by over 300 million
people.
"It
was at the '88 Shanghai TV
Festival, where I first met
President Jiang Zemin and China's
Premier Zhu Rongji", Troy said in
a recent interview. "I was quite
surprised when I first saw
President Zemin's photo in the
Los Angeles Times -- stating that
he was selected as China's
President and Chief of the
Communist Party. It was a great
feeling to know I had met two of
China's biggest leaders during my
performances. President Zemin has
been a big help to me in many
ways -- ever since."
