"American Idol" Induction into NAB Hall of
Fame
The National Association of Broadcasters
announced that television's No. 1 series, the
long-running reality competition series "American
Idol," will be the television inductee into the NAB
Broadcasting Hall of Fame. The show will be honored
at the 2013 NAB Show Television Luncheon, April 8
in Las Vegas.
"For
over a decade, 'American Idol' has shaped the
reality competition television genre, brought
families together by entertaining viewers of all
ages and made a huge cultural impact," said NAB
President and CEO Gordon Smith. "NAB is proud to
recognize this innovative television program."
For
nine consecutive seasons, the show, created by
Simon Fuller, has been the No. 1 entertainment
program among total viewers, empowering contestants
and viewers to share their voices in deciding who
will be America's next singing superstar.
Part
of the show's landmark achievements have been in
music sales and awards won by former contestants.
Former "Idol" contestants have produced 370 No. 1
Billboard hits and accrued more than 250 million
iTunes downloads. Season 11 winner Phillip
Phillips' first single, "Home," has been certified
double-platinum. Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery's
debut album "Clear As Day" also went platinum as it
dominated the Billboard Country Albums chart. Past
winners Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia
Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks and Jordin
Sparks have all dominated the music charts and won
multiple awards, including Grammy Awards, American
Music Awards, Country Music Awards and Billboard
Music Awards. Additionally, Jennifer Hudson is an
Academy Award winner, and other former contestants
such as Daughtry, Kellie Pickler, Adam Lambert and
Jessica Sanchez have all become household names and
made their marks on the recording industry.
"American
Idol" returns for a 12th season with a special
two-night premiere airing January 16 and 17 on FOX.
Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the show will feature a
new judging panel that includes returning judge
Randy Jackson, a Grammy Award-winning producer, as
well as three new judges: best-selling female
recording artist Mariah Carey; quadruple-platinum
singer, songwriter, rapper and fashion icon Nicki
Minaj; and Keith Urban, a four-time Grammy Award
winner who has sold more than 15 million
albums.
Since
its inception, the series has featured an array of
acclaimed judges, including music executive Simon
Cowell, pop singer and choreographer Paula Abdul,
Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler and artists
Jennifer Lopez.
Through
its charitable initiative, "Idol Gives Back,"
"American Idol" has raised more than $185 million
to benefit and create awareness for children and
families living in poverty and at risk in the
United States and abroad. Charity partners include
the Children's Health Fund, Feeding America,
Malaria No More and Save the Children's U.S.
program, among others. In continuing its
philanthropic efforts, "American Idol" also
encouraged viewers to donate to the American Red
Cross, following the tsunami in Japan, while
donating profits from "Idol's" Season 10
compilation album to the relief efforts.
"American
Idol" is produced by 19 Entertainment, a division
of Core Media Group, and FremantleMedia North
America. The series is created and
executive-produced by Simon Fuller, CEO, XIX
Entertainment. Trish Kinane, FremantleMedia North
America; Ken Warwick, FremantleMedia North America
and Nigel Lythgoe, CEO, Nigel Lythgoe Productions
also serve as executive producers.

115-Berlin Film Festival, February
7-17 "Books
at Berlinale"
The 63rd Berlinale a networking stage for literary
material at an international film festival.
Film producers who are looking for exciting
literary material for the screen should be in their
element at "Books at Berlinale" on February 12,
2013. Ten novels that might make good movies will
be presented at this year's "Books at Berlinale"
within the scope of the Berlinale Co-Production
Market. At the breakfast following the pitch,
interested producers will have the opportunity to
speak with the international publishers and
literary agents, or even to option film rights
directly.
More
than 80 books from over 20 countries were submitted
to "Books at Berlinale" 2013. Works from Sweden,
Great Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands and
Italy made it into this year's selection.
The
novels selected include a number of current
bestsellers and prize-winners; many of the others
are new works that are to be released over the
course of the year.
Their
stories revolve around shady double agents, former
rocks stars or even, for instance, Charlotte
Brontë. The spectrum of genres encompasses
thrillers and family dramas, as well as historical
epics and road movies. With Carolin Walch's
"Roxanne & George", a graphic novel will be
presented at "Books at Berlinale" for the first
time.
Meanwhile
the event has fans on both sides, that is, among
book publishers and film producers - for here they
can make and cultivate valuable and exclusive
contacts each year, as well as meet one another in
the informal atmosphere of the Berlinale
Co-Production Market," says Festival Director
Dieter Kosslick. "We are very pleased that 'Books
at Berlinale' has become a real networking
highlight between the book and film
industries."
Organised
since 2006 by the Berlinale in cooperation with the
Frankfurt Book Fair, "Books at Berlinale" was and
is the first market for literary material at an
international A-film festival.

Les Moonves, Bob Schieffer Named to TV Hall of Fame
"Face the Nation" anchor Bob Schieffer
and CBS Corporation President and CEO Leslie
Moonves were selected to be inducted into the
Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of
Fame. The 2013 inductees will be honored during a
gala ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on March
11.
"Each of this year's Hall of Fame inductees is
incredibly deserving of this honor and is truly a
legend of our industry," Bruce Rosenblum, Chairman
and CEO of the Academy of Television Arts &
Sciences said in a press release.
Last year marked Schieffer's 55th year as a
reporter and 43rd year at CBS News, where he has
been a principal anchor since 1973. He anchored the
"CBS Evening News" from March 2005 to August 2006,
Schieffer has served as a moderator of CBS News'
Sunday public affairs broadcast "Face the Nation"
since 1991.
Schieffer said he was "truly honored" to be named
to the Hall of Fame. "I always wanted to be a
reporter when I was a kid and I got to be one when
I grew up," he told CBSNews.com. "Not many people
are that lucky. I thank the academy for this
recognition and CBS for the opportunities they have
given me over the past 44 years. Chasing down the
news is still more fun than anything job I can
think of."
President and CEO of CBS Corp. Les Moonves joined
CBS as president of Entertainment in 1995 and took
the network from last to first place in the
ratings, launching series including "Everybody
Loves Raymond," "Survivor," and "CSI: Crime Scene
Investigation." Under his leadership, CBS has been
#1 in viewers for nine of the past 10 years and
currently features television's #1 drama, "NCIS";
#1 comedy, "The Big Bang Theory"; and the #1 news
program, "60 Minutes."
Past honorees include actor/director/producer Ron
Howard, sportscaster Al Michaels and
writer/producer Dick Wolf. Philo T. Farnsworth, who
is credited with inventing all-electronic
television transmission, will be inducted
posthumously, the academy said.

HRTS Newsmaker Luncheon Series, Jan. 23,
2013.
A
Conversation with Rober Iger, CEO, The Walt Disney
Co.
In
a wide-range conversation with moderator Brian
Grazer during the Hollywood Radio and Television
Society's newsmaker luncheon series, Disney CEO,
Bob Iger discussed a host of topics from the value
of risk taking to his memories of Steve Jobs.
Explaining
the philosophy of his success he said, "I've
learned over the years that you can't be dismissive
of risk, especially in the corporate world," he
told the TV community audience, highlighting the
recent acquisition of Lucas film and the
decision to put Disney TV series on iTunes. "If
you're obsessed with what everyone is doing then
you're not obsessed with what you're doing;" "if
you're too focused on it, you can't get anything
done."
The
newest and hardest challenges are how to best serve
the advertisers with the expanding and multiple
platforms from iPhones to tablets.
Iger became
increasingly more animated when discussing the time
he spent with Jobs, Disney's largest shareholder,
when he died in 2011. He revealed that one of the
first calls he made when he got the job as CEO was
to Jobs, who had announced he'd be severing ties
with Disney amid discord with previous management.
"I had to repair the relationship. So the day the
board called me to say I was CEO
I decided
to call my parents, my grown children, a couple of
friends and Steve," Iger recalled, noting that Jobs
agreed to take a meeting with him despite the fact
that he perceived Iger as "more of the
same."
He went on
to say Steve was relentlessly honest and
relentlessly candid," he said of the late Apple
co-founder's infamous style, acknowledging how Jobs
would call him periodically on a Saturday to tell
him that he had seen one of his movies the night
before and, in his words, "it sucked." Although
Iger noted that he appreciates honesty from people
he deals with, the latter likely played to his
biggest insecurity, which he noted was a fear of
"not making enough things that are good."
Although Iger alleged that few things keep him
up at night at this stage of his career, walking
out of a screening knowing that a Disney project --
be it a film or a TV show -- isn't as good as it
could be falls among his biggest concerns. "I hate
that," he said. "Nobody ever sets out to make
anything bad."
Other
topics addressed were Disney's take on violence and
his taking measures to monitor violence in his
company's video game interests; that he recently
met with his video game staff to address the
content making sure they were being as responsible
as possible in light of the recent mass shootings
and President Obama's subsequent gun initiatives,
which include a study of the impact of violent
video games.
He
met within the company's ranks "to take stock in
everything we've got that can be considered near
the line or over the line. "Fortunately at Disney
there's very little [violent content], but
I still want to make sure we're asking ourselves
the right questions in terms of that standard,
»
Iger
used the remainder of the hourlong Q&A session
to touch topics including Walt Disney's impact,
revealing that he has listened to a 20-hour
interview that the company founder gave shortly
before his death in 1966. "I'm a big believer in
respecting the past," Iger said. Quoting Disney's
philosophy on the theme park business, he added,
"Disneyland will never be finished so long as there
is imagination in the world."

115- 124th Rose Parade - Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013,
Pasadena
By Gary
Sunkin
Known as the most favorite parade to kick
off the New Year for thousands of spectators who
lined the 5 1/2 mile parade route through Pasadena.
With temperatures dipped into the low 40s everyone
embraced an occasional beam of sunshine as some
were bundled up in blankets and scarfs in
grandstand seats and choice spots on sidewalks
along the route.
"We selected our theme, 'Oh, the Places
You'll Go!' with Dr. Goodall in mind as Grand
Marshal," said Tournament of Roses President Sally
Bixby. "
I can think of no one whose life has better
exemplified our theme and message than Dr. Jane
Goodall. Dr. Goodall is now an international
icon, but it is her passion for discovery and how
she has used her celebrity for the betterment of
the world that has drawn us to her."

National Film Registry Adds New
Films
Under
the terms of the National Film
Preservation Act, each year the Librarian
of Congress names 25 films to the National
Film Registry that are "culturally,
historically or aesthetically"
significant. The films must be at
least 10 years old. The Librarian
makes the annual selections to the
registry after reviewing hundreds of
titles nominated by the public and
conferring with Library film curators and
the distinguished members of the National
Film Preservation Board (NFPB). The
public is urged to make nominations for
2013 registry at the NFPB's website
(www.
loc.gov/film).
The NFL Film; "A Christmas Story," "Uncle
Tom's Cabin" are in A League of Their Own.
(See National Film Registry Picks .
. . Below Col 2 and 3)
The excitement of
national football; the first black star of
an American feature-length film; the
visionary battle between man and machine;
and an award-winning actress born
yesterday are part of a kaleidoscope of
cinematic moments captured on film and
tapped for preservation. The
Librarian of Congress James H. Billington
today named 25 motion pictures that have
been selected for inclusion in the
National Film Registry of the Library of
Congress. These cinematic treasures
represent important cultural, artistic and
historic achievements in filmmaking.
"Established by
Congress in 1989, the National Film
Registry spotlights the importance of
preserving America's unparalleled film
heritage," said Billington. "These films
are not selected as the 'best' American
films of all time, but rather as works of
enduring importance to American
culture. They reflect who we are as
a people and as a nation."
Founded
in 1800, the Library of Congress is the
nation's oldest federal cultural
institution. It seeks to spark imagination
and creativity and to further human
understanding and wisdom by providing
access to knowledge through its vast
collections, programs and exhibitions.
Many of the Library's rich resources can
be accessed through its website.

Charlie Rose to Join the Early Show
in 2012 - but will not to give up his
eponymous PBS interview
show.
CBS News chairman,
Jeff Fager announced another revamping of
the network's morning strategy.
Effective Jan. 9,
the PBS interviewer Charlie Rose will join
anchor Erica Hill for the 7 a.m. "The
Early Show," the network's
long-suffering morning news broadcast.
Rose has had a
long-running relationship with CBS News.
In 1999, he joined 60 Minutes
II as a correspondent and still does
occasional pieces for 60 Minutes.
"It's been tough in
the morning at CBS,"Mr. Fager
acknowledged. "A lot of times we replaced
people without really re-thinking from the
ground up" about the structure of the
broadcast. The past, he said, doesn't
matter. "We have an opportunity to start
fresh." CLICK

Since that time I've written a lot of

transparent fraudulent activities created
by those certain rule makers over the

But no president could completely alter
the DNA of the goodtime Charlies of Wall

Permanent reform will take much longer,
and it will happen only if the President
can continue to drive the mandate down to
the financial, foreign trade, and health
industries, where there are still holdouts
itching to reverse course.
Pres. Obama will leave behind a blueprint,
but in some ways the next President will
have a more difficult job. He or she will
need determination to make the changes
stick, a deep knowledge of th U.S.A.

"You
mention "The Troy Cory Show, China 88" and
there's a glow. I can't tell you the
evening when I saw the live show for the
first
time.
I still felt that
same glow almost 20 years later while
viewing the 2008, Beijing

Troy Cory, and his
Brooke Sisters were incandescent . . . and
there was a magic to all of the excitment
that came together with sound, music, and
rythm.
Why would Troy Cory
be so indelible in my mind as the first
U.S. singer/perforner to ever appear on
nation-wide CCTV? Why would Joey Lauren
Adams, one of the four Brooke Sisters be
remembered by over 300 million TV-viewers?
Easy, they were the first to ever appear
on a Communist-country stage, Troy, the
lead TV-singer, performer, Joey, the
blonde movie star. The indelibility of
those characters! It's a great, emotional
piece of work put together by two nations
for reason only known to them. The
transition from seeing the before
impossible on a Shanghai TV-stage
performance in 1988, to seeing the
highlights of the show any time I feel
like it on my Wireless

so powerful. Liu Chen,

2011- Emmys TV-Show Winners - Was it A
TV-ShowBiz Event, or was it a MovieActor

The September 18th - 2011 event had
everyone wondering . . . were they
auditioning future Academy award winners
at Sunday's 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy
Awards presentation? Or was the show a
preview of next year's Academy of
Television Arts & Sciences Oscar

TV show greats all the way from "The Dave
Letterman Show," and "Jay Leno" to "60
Minutes," and "20/20" didn't exactly make
the winners list, did
they?
In fact, primetime TV-shows and their
television stars were not even
mentioned.
The Reasons?
Television programing --
seems to be all about movie
look-alikes, and a "Blacklist."

101-114 Actor Cliff Robinson Dies - 88.
Blacklisted By Industry For
Whistleblowing.
It was in 1977, that TV star
Cliff Robertson's Show Biz Career took an
unexpected twist. It was right after
he received an IRS form for "miscellaneous
income" that indicated that Columbia
Pictures had paid him $10,000 the previous
year. Robertson, however, hadn't done any
work for Columbia that year and had not
received $10,000 from the studio.
After asking his accountant to look into
it, Robertson learned that a check for
$10,000 had been made out to him and had
been cashed at a bank in Beverly Hills.
The endorsed check, bearing Robertson's
forged signature, had been processed and
paid out in American Express travelers'
checks to the president of Columbia
Studios, David Begelman.
The ensuing Begelman embezzlement scandal,
came to symbolize Hollywood corruption, as
chronicled in David McClintick's 1982
bestseller "Indecent Exposure: A True
Story of Hollywood and Wall Street."

. . .
"JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME."
The
princess of a small kingdom with less than
a half-million countrymen . . . read in
the Holy Book on how important it was to
have a VISION for her fifty square mile
domain. So with FAITH and decisiveness . .

SHE hired local monasteries to help her
come up with a few pieces of artistic
religious artifacts and storylines that
would excite the local gentry, surrounded
by a forest full of pine trees.
She delivered the Masterpieces
to them. --
. . . But rather than becoming excited
they acted like godless heathans, thinking
"so what?" She felt frustrated, angrry and
disappointed all of which she did her best
to conceal.

- The
Birthplace of the Wireless
Telephone®©,
and its NBS Wireless
Telephone®© registered
service marks.
The NBS Wireless
Telephone®© organization,
founded in Murray, Kentucky, doesn't
manufacture the present-day Wireless
Telephone®© . . . "BUT
DOES MAKE the iPhone and CellPhones of
today WORK," says Troy
Cory-Stubblefield.
As chief executive
of the NBS WiTEL®©
organization, Troy Cory-Stubblefield
closely watches over the way the effects
and elements of his NBS
WiTEL®© organization are
used and paid for by Telco providers, and
users.
Underlining each
and every Wireless
Telephone®© sold today . .
. is a NBS WiTEL®© service
mark utilized by iPhone, and Cellphone
provider/users. Charging high-tech
batteries by its NBS EMW induction system,
or being assigned a WiTEL®©
phone number to connect each
WiTEL®© user together are
just a couple of the elements. The NBS
Wireless Telephone®© was
invented and developed at
Teléph-on-délgreen
Industrial School, Murray, Kentucky,
commencing in 1892.
The once upon a
time Kentucky industrial school . . . is
once again star-crossed. But this time,
with a happy ending. Murray, Kentucky
touts itself as the
birthplace
of the Wireless
Telephone®©, and with ample
reason. Taking a throwback to 1907, the
Nathan B. Stubblefield Industrial School
was renamed to
Teléph-on-délgreen, and
again several decades later to emerge at
same location as Murray State University.
Still a humbling
sense of history so deep-seated that
residents often rattle off dates: 1892,
1898, 1902, then 1908. That
year symbolizes the granting of all of
the Service Marks needed for Murray's
monopoly of the Wireless
Telephone®©. 1910,
was the year
NBS'
Teléph-on-délgreen WiTel
construction began in a big way. The years
1910 through 1914 also marks the
time of great change in American RF
WiTEL®© industry. The
managerial side of industry was growing
and American corporations were
reorganizing and becoming more efficient
with the help of the U.S.
government,.
1914,
the NBSWireless Telephone®©
manufacturing ends, and one-way
listening devices Radios, begins. With
the enachment of Government regulatory RF
seizures.
Teléph-on-délgreen's NBS
WiTel®©
EMW etherwave pipeline is replaced with a
new word -- "RF," and "RADIO." (see
Mann-Elkins
Act of 1910, and the 1913 "Kingsbury
Commitment).
The
years 1907, 1929, and 2008 are all
asscociated with the great depressions,
followed by years of growth of the fabled
Murray State University, NBS
WiTEL®©, AT&T, GE, and
now -- the free for all Internet
user.
No
mater how you look at it, many obserers
believe it's just a matter of time before
lawmakers step in to decide once and for
all who calls the shots for the "freebie"
EMWs provided by the 1907 Wireless
Telephone®© service marks.
Will the winner be the Telco operator,
online users, or the rules of laws set
forth in writting to protect service mark
owners?

The

Sales
Verizon
Wireless third-quarter earnings rose to
$1.38 billion, from $659 million, or 23
cents, a year earlier.
Sales
climbed 5.4 % to $27.9 billion, matching
the average analyst projection. The
third-quarter three-month period ended
Sept. 31., Verizon
said.
Verizon shares
closed up 0,9% to $37.42.
Contributing to
Verizon's increased performance was a jump
in smartphone sales- users and on its
network with 882,000 new wireless-contract
customers.
The
significant boost in profit comes despite
a two-week labor strike and spending $250
million on "storm-related repair costs" --
and cost of its PSI billing process in the
amount of $5.00 per month per wireless
phone number assigned to each wireless

During the Luther Kings family

-
According
to a recent China Expo 2000 report, the
"Made in America" service mark is true and
correct if ''Made in U.S.A' is added to
goods. About 88.5% of U.S. purchases in
2010 -- were American-made products and
services.
-
How
can this be, considering that much of the
merchandise we use daily come from
CHINA?
-
Foreign-made
products are most prevalent among
so-called durable goods, such as cars,
furniture and appliances. About one-third
of all durable goods Americans purchased
last year were made abroad; 12% came from
China.
FOR

-
But
even merchandise made in China can
contribute to the U.S. economy. Consider a
pair of Chinese-made sneakers that retails
in the U.S. for $70. Most of what a
consumer pays goes to cover trucking
costs, rent for the store where the shoes
are sold, profits for shareholders of the
U.S. retailer, as well as the cost of
marketing the brand. Included in these
costs are the salaries, wages and benefits
paid to the U.S. workers who staff these

-FIRST since '52: No talk of war in GOP

With America
entangled in its longest armed conflict,
Mitt Romney became the first Republican
since 1952 to accept his party's

Three election cycles after the 2001
terrorist attacks, neither Romney nor his
running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, had anything

their party's biggest stage. The only one
who did was actor Clint Eastwood, who won
cheers for suggesting invading Afghanistan
was a mistake and calling for an immediate

Can Investors & Users Sue Their Boss
& Board
Members?
Yes
It's A Fact that
investors,
product users, pension funds can sue, as
Allergan Inc. investors did in June -
2012. The legal action seeks to hold
directors responsible for criminal
sanctions and a $600-million penalty that
the Irvine maker of the wrinkle smoother
Botox was ordered to pay for marketing the
drug for unapproved uses, a judge
ruled.
Two pension funds that content the
Allergan's board failed to properly
oversee executives who marketed Botox for
ailments that hadn't been approved by
regulators have amassed enough evidence
about the illegal sales effort to proceed
with their claims,
Delaware
Chancery Court Judge Travis Laster
said.
On the other side of the coin .
. .
A
group filed a lawsuit on behalf of the
company itself against the executives.

TheWiTEL-ID-phoneNumber
In
a threat to the 4th Amendment, law
enforcement is using location data as a
crime-fighting tool.
Concern
over mobile phone networks becoming
surveillance tools, the American Civil
Liberties Union recently asked hundreds of
local law enforcement agencies whether
they've tracked people's movements through
their cellphones. Most of those that
responded said they had, usually obtaining
the information from mobile phone
companies without a warrant. The practice
has become so routine, the ACLU found,
that phone companies are sending out
catalogs of monitoring services with
detailed price lists to police agencies.
The alarming findings should persuade
Congress to clarify that the government
can't follow someone electronically
without showing probable cause and
obtaining a warrants.
The Supreme Court has long held that the
4th Amendment guarantee against
unreasonable searches and
seizures
requires police to obtain a warrant if the
intrusion would violate a target's
"reasonable expectation of privacy."
Mobile
phone networks collect another -
type
of data that wire-line networks don't:
They register a phone's location
continuously as long as it's turned on,
even when it's not in use. Those records
can be exceptionally revealing; as the
ACLU put it, the potential insights range
"from which friends you're seeing to where
you go to the doctor to how often you go
to church."
The
fact that phone companies are collecting
fees
--
for providing this information raises
the additional question of whether their
financial interests trump their customers'
privacy interests. Looking for an answer,
Rep. Edward J. Markey recently asked the
major wireless carriers how much money
they've collected from law enforcement
agencies and whether they actively market
their information-gathering services.
A
growing number of courts have been
pushing
back
against the Justice Department's
permissive approach, but the rulings
haven't been uniform. Nor are there clear
rules to distinguish emergencies from
routine investigations, live tracking from
the examination of stored data, or
any
of the many other complexities. Rather
than trusting judges to sort it all out,
Congress should make it clear that the
protections that apply to phone
conversations also apply to location data.
No warrant, no tracking.

106- NBSWiTEL Bailout For Its EMW Wireless
Carriers
Like a bank, we make loans.
But
unlike a bank, we're part of nbsWiTEL.com.
Before it became a DotCom company
we
were, and still are that same NBS Wireless
Telephone Company of America, established
in 1902, that invented and delveloped the
EMW technology that helps move, cure,
power and link the world with its nbsWiTEL
phone numbers.
So
not only can we provide smart financing,
we can also offer access to the insights
and bet practices of nbsWiTEL.com to make
that financing work harder. Chances are we
have the expertise you need to make your
company more competitive - and we're happy
to share. Stop just banking. And start
building. NbsWiTEL.com works.
NBS bailout of a few of
"nbsWiTEL.com Users --
may net an estimated $20.1-billion
profit for its Collection Group, PSI.
The estimate depends on the
timing - of the monthly payment of
the debt owed by each U.S.A. and FCC
approved carrier. nbsWiTEL.com said the
profit projection did not factor in the
nbsWiTEL.com cost to subsidize each
Carrier's "WiTEL debt during the last few
years; that cost was not calculated.
The nbsWiTEL.com -
forecast
followed the nbsWiTEL.com decision to
further reduce its ownership stake in its
Account Receivable Assets.
The
report came as nbsWiTEL.com this week
continued to wind down its stake in WiTEL
phone numbers handling its own Collection
deal it has with PSI, and its
Speedollars.com system.
Financial execs have a
forward-thinking strategy
WiTEL.com's arrangement with PSI's
Speedollars.com program will help kick off
the TeleKey Code systems
multimillion-dollar effort to iBond its
affiliates. The iBond concept is dubbed
"the Global Creative Investment Program"
-- to form ventures with its TeleCom
carriers, and other tech-savvy
entrepreneurs in the WiTEL.com
business.
Pacific
Sunrise International officials propose to
convert their Account Receivables into
iBonds, according to the documents, which
are included in the agenda
materials.
The proposal would allow the Franchised
Carriers to take a loan of up to 80% of
any and all cost for its $5.00 per month
per nbsWiTEL phone number assigned to its
WiTEL users . . . to help cover expenses.
It's unclear how the nbsWiTEL.com
Franchised Carrier would pay it back -- if
the loan and interest could not be repaid
within 10 years -- would nbsWiTEL.com or
the FCC be able to resell the Franchise by
Auction?
The iBond proposal is separate from the
$5.00 per monthly Invoice for each
WiTEL®© TeleKey area Code
phone number assigned to users. TeleCom
industry experts following the iBond
concept will give virtually all the
benefits to the WiTEL®©
TeleKey area Code user, with the blessings
of the FCC. The value of of each NBS WiTEL
franchise assigned 1-Million
WiTEL®© TeleKey area Code
phone number -- is valued at $5-Billion
each, according to
PSI.
Under the proposed lease, PSI's financial
backer would fund about $45-Billion in
Bank Guarantees. PSI is seeking control of
the U.S.A. operations for a total of 99
years.
The
iBond sale would reduce the nbsWiTEL.com
debt holdings to about $45 billion, with
another financial group holding an
additional $5 billion in complicated loans
secured by a bank guarantee.

Cloud-based

from 25 gigabytes for $2.49 a month up to
1 terabyte for $49.99 a month.
Google
said its remote storage drive will work
like a folder on both Windows- and Mac-

Silicon

uncomfortably
close.
Google
is the latest tech giant to be
investigated by regulators and
lawmakers.
This isn't the first time that Silicon
Valley has found itself in regulatory
cross hairs. In 2006 Hewlett-Packard, the
standard-bearer of business ethics
symbolized by the "HP Way," tried to plug
leaks to the media by spying on the
private phone records of board members and
news reporters.
At
the same time, Apple was just one of more
than 100 companies, many in Silicon
Valley, that were suspected of rigging
stock options to sweeten the paychecks of
executives and employees. -- The episodes
helped reinforce Silicon Valley's
reputation for bending -- if not breaking
-- the rules. And regulators in the U.S.
and overseas are again taking a long hard
look at the business practices of
companies here.

106-First
Come - First Serve Patent Law Signed By
Obama / WASHINGTON - Congress has given
the U.S. patent system its first major
overhaul since the age of the transistor
radio by passing legislation designed to
spur innovation and provide a sorely
needed boost to the job
market.
Senate passage Thursday of the America
Invents Act, which sends it to President
Barack Obama for his signature, is the
first significant change in patent law
since 1952. It took years to accomplish,
with the final vote coming a little more
than an hour before Obama appeared before
a joint session of Congress to pitch his
plan for promoting jobs growth.
The bill ensures that the patent office
has the money to expedite the application
process. It now takes an average of three
years to get a patent approved. The agency
has a backlog of 1.2 million pending
patents. More than 700,000 have yet to be
reviewed.
While small-scale inventors are divided on
the legislation, it has the backing of
associations representing corporations
such as Caterpillar Inc. and General
Electric, as well as high-tech companies
including Apple and Google, along with the
U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the
Association of American Universities.

Recording Artist Copyright Collections
-1978 106-ArtistCopyrightClaims
The same old song? The same old
article?
Recording artists' copyright royalties of
the 60s, 70s, and 80s are so complex that
the courts may have to settle fights case
by case in Artist vs. Publishers vs.
defunt Record companies, and their
takeovers.
The federal copyright law that went into
effect in 1978 gave song writers,
recording artist, and musician union
members a chance to reclaim their rights
to a work 35 years after they sold them.
Whether musicians and songwriters can
exercise that option, however, is in
dispute. Many bands and solo acts have
signed contracts since then that declare
them ineligible to reclaim their
recordings.
Most songwriters signed long-term
contracts with music publishers before
1978 that their publishers say are
controlled by the previous federal law,
which prevents copyrights from being
reclaimed for 56 years. The Copyright
Office has tried to resolve the latter
dispute, but it acknowledged that the
final say may have to come from
Congress.
The
new U.S.A. Copyright law gives
the author of
an original work a lot of control over how
their creations can be exploited. But
because their expertise usually is in
creating works, not wringing money out of
them, they typically assign their rights
to publishers in exchange for a cut of the
sales.

Fargo vs Pension Fund $125M
Settlement.
+
June 31st Week: Wells Fargo & Co.
agreed to pay $125 million to investors in
its mortgage-backed securities who alleged
that before the Great Recession hit, they
were misled about how much equity the
borrowers had in their
homes.
'WellsFargo']The
proposed settlement, filed Wednesday in
federal court in San Jose, ended
consolidated lawsuits filed by the pension
funds of Alameda County, Detroit, New
Orleans, Guam, the Louisiana sheriffs and
other
plaintiffs.
At
issue were mortgage-backed securities --
financial instruments derived from a pool
of mortgages -- whose value depended on
borrowers' payments on loans made at the
peak of the housing bubble in 2006 and
2007.
Certain
other claims over mortgage securities
filed by Charles Schwab Corp. and the
Federal Home Loan Banks of Chicago and
Indianapolis are excluded from the class,
Wells Fargo has said in regulatory
filings.
The
litigation named as defendants Wells Fargo
and about 20 trusts holding mortgages
backing $8 billion in securities, along
with various Wall Street banks and
credit-rating agencies involved in issuing
the mortgage
bonds.
The
proposed settlement, which still requires
judicial approval, did not include any
admission of wrongdoing by Wells Fargo. A
spokesman for the San Francisco bank said
the intent was to avoid the expense and
risk of further litigation.

California Sales Taxes &

Will the new California tax collection
requirement Effect Your Monthly Phone
Bill? YES, it might HAPPEN. Part of
California budget-related legislation --
is expected to raise an estimated $317
million a year in new state and local
government revenue.
Other states
currently are considering similar sales
tax collection bills.
California's new
law was drafted to circumvent a 1992 U.S.
Supreme Court ruling that sellers can't be
forced to collect sales taxes unless they
have a physical presence in the state.
The new statute
would establish that presence in two ways:
when sellers pay commissions to other
Internet sites in California, known as
affiliates, that refer buyers; and when
sellers have a related company operating
in the state.
One affiliate, Ken
Rockwell of San Diego, the owner of a
12-year-old photography website, said he
planned to move out of state.
"Will it be Las
Vegas or Scottsdale or Ensenada?" he said.
"It's a question of where, not if."
California tells
online retailers to start collecting sales
taxes from customers
Beginning Friday,
July 1st, 2011, Amazon.com and other large
out-of-state retailers, like AT&T,
Verizon, and Spring utilizing California
Area Code -- will be required to collect
sales taxes on purchases that their
California customers make online.

106-TVCopyrightLawTargeted"Bad"
-- An arcane but critical copyright law is
under attack by a key government
agency.
-
The U.S. Copyright Office, which advises
Congress on copyright issues, is proposing
that lawmakers phase out the cable and
satellite statutory licenses in the
Copyright Act, calling it "an artifact of
an earlier era."
-
The so-called compulsory license,
established in 1976, allows cable and
satellite operators to distribute
broadcast television signals in return for
paying a one-size-fits-all copyright fee
to the Copyright Royalty Tribunal (CRT).
The CRT then distributes the fees to
copyright holders such as Hollywood
studios and sports leagues and local
television stations. Each year, the CRT
collects tens of millions of dollars in
fees that it distributes to rights
holders.
-
For example, if a Los Angeles TV station
is carried by a multichannel video
programming distributor (MVPD) outside the
Southern California area, that MVPD pays a
fee to the CRT. If the distant signal
portion of the act was gone, the MVPD
would go to the individual suppliers of
the programing to negotiate an agreement,
a much more costly and tedious
process.
-
One company watching this closely will be
Tribune, the parent of the Los Angeles
Times and owner of WGN, a local TV station
that is carried nationally by MVPDs and
hence would be most affected by any change
to the distant signal part of the
act.
-
The Copyright Office suggested that after
the Distant Signal rules were gutted,
Congress could then consider how to
gradually eliminate the local rules.

SAG-AFTRA vs HOLLYWOOD - TV-FILM
Studios
(the AFTRA-SAG
Merger)
A
Web Users Guild.com Report
http://webusersguild.com/
WILL THE HOLLYWOOD FILM-TV STUDIO Industry
be able to handle the new monetary demands
just created by the merger of SAG-AFTRA?
AFTRA was created in 1935, and SAG --
1933.
Creating
Hollywood's largest entertainment union
was easy this time around. Members of both
unions voted overwhelmingly to
combine into a single bargaining
unit.
Before March 30,
2012, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) was a
stand alone labor union representing over
105,000 film and television principals and
background performers worldwide.
AFTRA has about
70,000 members who are actors as well as
singers, dancers, disc jockeys, sports
announcers, comedians and broadcast
journalists, among others. About 40,000
people hold membership in both labor
groups.
The historic
vote comes nearly two years after union
leaders began discussions to merge in
a bid to gain more leverage in contract
negotiations with studios and to end
a long history of jurisdictional disputes
and feuding over negotiating strategy.
The new SAG-AFTRA Union will
total more than 150,000 members.

This
2012, 440 page Book Volume-680, was written,
copyrighted, and published by Troy-Cory
Stubblefield & Josie Cory; tvipublishing.com.
The Movie ScreenPlay, and Anti-ID Theft Patent were
co-authored by Donna Jefferies, and Mark Anderson,
respecfully.
Author/performer
Troy Cory-Stubblefield calls the LATimes Book Fair,
"the annual event as the: "Four R's of Education .
. . Reading; wRriting, aRrithmetic and
wiReless (eBooks)."
This fast-moving, epic-scale
440 page tviPublishing.com book, not only documents
the 110 year old history of
The
Wireless
Telephone®©
device itself, but factually explains the growth
and the enhancement of the basic elements that are
now found in today's SmartPhones. The pictorials
published in the Book demonstrate the purpose of
elements and effects first developed, registered,
demonstrated, and published by: NATHAN B.
STUBBLEFIELD, of MURRAY,
KENTUCKY.
The
primary purpose of N.B. Stubblefield's public
Wireless
Telephone®©
demonstrations was to
sell territorial deeds throughout the U.S.A. to
connect the user of the land-line telephone to
moving vehicles, such as the smartphone we use in
today's world of mobile phone subscribers. His
Wireless Telephone Company of America gave
permission to his NBS licensed Corporate TeleCom
WiTEL®© carriers to broadcast and
receive voice -- with or without his 7-digit
TeleKey Area Code connecting
system.
Since that time, (1892 to 2012), Nathan's grandson,
Troy Cory-Stubblefield, the CEO of the NBS
organization, has validated the laws imposed on by
the FCC, and sovereign nations to control TeleCom
EMW spectrum, and
frequencies.
Each Telecom carrier utilizing the NBS TeleKey
phone number Area Code system, valued at $5.00 per
month per 7-digt number assigned to a
WiTEL®© device. The assignment of
each NBSwitel intellectual property rights assigned
to his original Wireless Telephone®©
territorial deed holders, are given priority, not
only by the FCC, but by the NBS
organization.
A few of the name changes used, and accepted by the
NBSwitel.com organization to identify and update
the Wireless Telephone®© name to fit
modern-day unsage include: Radio, Television,
LookRadio, WiTEL, CellPhone, iPhone, Firewire-187,
etc.

negotiated with a Universal City firm to lease a
segment of its Area Code numbers -- for an
undisclosed sum. See

The NBS Wired-Wireless

a moniker to the Wireless industry for over ten
decades. With Wireless Telephone®©
namesakes like, WiTEL®©,
iPhone®©, and the
cellPhone®©, how could you lose.
It's been a deal to steal since its first
demonstrations and ®© registrations
by members of the NBS-TCS family -- commencing in
1892, 1898, 1902, 1907 through 2012.
"People do what they want,"
said Wikipedia's founder, at a 2010 Digital
Hollywood Spring keynote address. "There is no
master plan what people are interested in." The
question is, how can Wiki partner with people to
who have a symbiotic realationship. Look at the
Wiki model for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Stubblefield.
Like authors of the Bell & Edison inventions,
the NBS WirelessTelephone.org family will own the
nbswitel.com intellectual property rights --
"FOREVER MINUS A
DAY."
The five
chapters of WiTEL facts, and true-life adventures
of one of the most unsung inventors in history,
whose revolutionary innovations have effected every
human being on the planet over the last three
generations! Based on the true story of inventor
and part-time melon farmer Nathan B. Stubblefield's
(and subsequently his grandson Troy Cory's) battle
with the government and U.S. telephone
industry.
"Firewire" tells the tale of
two very different men from two very different eras
who share not only the same blood, but the same
fight - whose battle to receive recognition for the
invention of the wireless telephone would come at a
heavy price. But the determined small-town inventor
and the impassioned big-city entertainer both
refused to be silenced, and they took on the rural
backstabbers and the corporate titans alike in a
battle that nobody thought either could win.
The Stubblefields started
out as a typical 1880's Kentucky family, trying to
live their version of the American Dream, but ended
up as anything but! When Nathan invents a unique
device that he prophesied would eventually be used
by nearly everyone in the world -- he was not far
from wrong. Decades later, when his grandson learns
that it was his relative who indeed invented the
wireless phone, Cory thinks he's struck gold. But
his aspirations are dashed after the telephone
monopolies and political pirates who initially
seized Stubblefield's creation as their own are
just as determined to shut out his descendant
decades later, as well.
Ignored,
threatened and then buried in years of struggle,
Cory is haunted by what was done to his family. He
becomes a man obsessed with justice and the
conviction that his grandfather's life work -- or
for that matter, anyone's work -- be acknowledged
by those who stood to benefit. And while paying the
toll for refusing to compromise his dignity, this
everyday David will try the unthinkable: to
strategically bring Goliath to his knees in a
cooperation with truth and justice for all.
--Donna Jeffries
"You don't get to bust through the
airwaves without catching a little static
Across the landscape of the
American Industrial Revolution, within the field of
urban electrification and communication, the legacy
of prominent inventors such as George Westinghouse,
Thomas Edison, and Alexander Graham Bell stand
proud. Their achievements celebrated, their status
recognized. But they do not stand alone. Concealed
by the shadows of history, and even more by the
deviousness of corrupt men in power, is the figure
of Nathan B. Stubblefield, a contemporary of those
great men and one of that era's most innovative and
prolific inventors..
At the time of his death in
1928, Stubblefield had been granted dozens of
patents, mostly relating to electrical and wireless
technologies. His inventions completely
revolutionized the world of communications that we
know today, yet not many people even know his name.
With over 5.6 billion wireless phones in use today
- there's no denying, wireless technology has
irreversibly changed the world..
This story will open your
eyes and challenge what you think you know about
not only your cell phone, but the challenges and
the victories that brought these innovations to us
in the first place. More importantly, it gives us
insight into the human tragedy and triumph that was
and still is a part of the reality of our most
innovative technological pioneers today in America.

114- A Robert Sherman, Tribute. March 7th
2012 By Troy Cory - Josie
Cory
On March 5th, 2012
Robert Sherman, died at the London Clinic
of an age-related illness, his family
said. He was
86.
TVI-VRA TelePlay Pictures CEO, Troy Cory
said, "--
"the Sherman
Brothers were not only Walt Disney's
songwriters of choice, but they were mine
also.
They had their
"golden moments" when everything turned
right, as Dick Sherman said during his
brother's funeral service.
Their music for
"Mary Poppins" included the jaunty "A
Spoonful of Sugar" and the somber "Feed
the Birds" --They were the men that
introduced me into the world of music
publishing and as a song writer of my own
recordings with Cinema Prize, Bingo,
Mercury, and Highland Records.
Along with Bob
Roberts, Ralph Freed, Tip Tobin and
Dorothy Swafford, we wrote "Rinky Rou
RAW," "There's No Fool Like a Young Fool,"
"Torture," "Tall Paul," "Little Pink Toe,"
and many others in 1959, and the early
60s. We sometimes used the names Sherwood,
Roberts, Sharon & Silbert, and Tip
Tobin for ASCAP and BMI
purposes.

Steve
Jobs' Death -- The Effects On People
Around The
World
.
October
6, 2011 - WHEN APPLE, INC. ANNOUNCED THAT
Mr. Jobs had passed away, Newspapers
around the globe paid homage to the U.S.
legendary computer genius. To many of us
who followed the "Mac path" -- it seems
like loosing a friend. He touched so many
lives with his innovation and vision that
we can't help but ask ourselves, "Will the
tech world ever be the same without
Jobs?
Much is going to be
written about this extraordinary man, so
here are just a few highlights in his own
words.
TASTE AND TECHNOLOGY (ca. 1996)
"Ultimately
it comes down to taste. It comes down to
trying to expose yourself to the best
things that humans have done and then try
to bring those things in to what you're
doing. I mean Picasso had a saying, he
said good artists copy, great artists
steal. And we have always been shameless
about stealing great ideas, and I think
part of what made the Macintosh great was
that the people working on it were
musicians and poets and artists and
zoologists and historians who also
happened to be the best computer
scientists in the world...

Fourth
Quarter 2012 Ends
115-
Digital Hollywood Fall, Oct. 15-18,
2012
-
Held at the The Ritz Carlton Hotel, 4375
Admiralty Way, Marina del Rey,
California.
In an era that has seen the downsizing or
demise of most household-name tradeshows,
Digital Hollywood is flourishing as a sort
of live-content aggregator attracting
various industry stalwarts to hold private
meetings all at the same venue, then
network together at conference tracks,
keynote roundtables and after-hours
parties.
Victor Harwood who is presiding over
several annual trade shows dealing with
entertainment, media, advertising and
technology events, besides Digital
Hollywood, said back in 2007, "The idea of
putting together a tradeshow by hassling
people to buy booth space is old -- anyone
who did that is not in business
anymore."
His upcoming Fall confab at the Ritz
Carlton Hotel, in Marina Del Rey, CA, made
up of separate multi-track but co-located
events is still the only conference that
brings together creatives, agents,
distributors, technologists, financiers,
lawyers and media -- legally, it's very
hard for a lot of these people to be in
the same room, unless there's a common
purpose and a common theme. More minds
have been changed -- enlightened, or made
aware of opportunities and dangers -- at
Digital Hollywood than at any other
conference."

arguably one of television's greatest
programmers, the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy
Award was created to recognize the
extraordinary passion, leadership,
independence and vision in creating
television programming that defined
Tartikoff's character and career.
Tartikoff
spent 11 years as head of entertainment
programming for
NBC.
To
consider all that Brandon Tartikoff
accomplished as president of NBC
Entertainment, it's important to remember
how bad NBC was in 1981, when, at 31,
Tartikoff took over. But in a few short
years, after hits like Cheers, Hill Street
Blues, The Cosby Show, Family Ties, Golden
Girls and St. Elsewhere, NBC was not only
on top of the ratings but did so with the
creation of programs that were to this day
among the best in TV history.
