This
Volume explores the patents, drawings,
demonstrations, and wireless telephone inventions
of Nathan Stubblefield. Commencing in 1982, the
first of six televised commemorative wireless
re-enactments took place in Pasadena, California,
to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Nathan's
first "wireless" signal demonstrations held at
Murray;'s Court House Square -- in 1882.
In
1992, the NBS100 team demonstrated Nathan's 1892
wireless telephone system, not only in Murray
Kentucky, but at the Dallas Communication Museum of
History, and to the large crowd of Smithsonian
Museum officials and members of the Washington,
D.C. news media.
Since
then, similar commemorations have been held in Los
Angeles, Washington, D.C. and in China -- to
analogize the demonstrations made by Nathan in
1892, 1898, 1900, and1902 respectfully. In 2000,
from Harbin, China, a wireless video camera was
used by the NBS100 team to Webcast portions of the
Troy Cory Show over the Internet. See
www.troycory.com
It
was Murray State University, professors, Dr.
Hortin, PhD., Dr. Mofield, PhD., and Dr. Glenn
Wilcox, PhD., that helped develop the NBS100, WNBS,
"Capt. Billy", "Teléph-on-délgreen",
"Exploring the Compass", and Bowman Cemetery
storylines utilized in this program.
This
DVD was specially edited in short 3 to 5 minute
segments, for Webcast telecasting. It blends U.S.
Civil War history with Troy's early day
music/variety shows produced at Warner Bros.,
Burbank, California -- and with his latest China
stage and televison performances. "Tambourine and
Four Dancing Girls", "If I Only Knew", "Easy
Loven", and "Move To The Hills" - are some of the
songs depicting the life style and times of the
Stubblefield Family of Kentucky.
