1. Malcolm David MacFarlane. -
••• "I have always been an admirer of Nikola Tesla," (one of the nine early pioneering scientists referred to as the "Smart Daaf" Boys), said MacFarlane in a recent tviNews interview with Danny Scott, of tviNews.net.
••• "I took in his early visions of transmitting messages wirelessly like everybody did, until I discovered recently, he never successfully demonstrated the transmission of voice and music." ••• Any skilled electronic technician, at first glance, would be able to determine from Nathan's patent drawings and descriptions as submitted to the USPTO, that a coil was included in his embodiments. Coils have little effect upon Direct Current, but are widely used in resonating circuits and oscillators.
••• Their use is mandatory for the selection, processing and passage of specific frequencies used for Radio Frequency (RF) Carriers. Nathan utilized this phenomenon to achieve a continuous electromagnetic Radio Frequency Carrier (RF) waveform, thereby providing an inductive Medium using at least one of many frequencies as a wireless conductor in his Wireless Telephony Apparatus.
••• Although Nathan's RF Carrier Oscillator was basically a primitive fixed Oscillator, he made reference to the day, as technology would continue to develop, when increased stability would be enjoyed, such as with today's WiFi187 or WiMacs187 analog digital converter box coming out next year when the regulatory seizure of Freebie TV RF waves that's been around for 100 years, will be replace by digital WiMax187.
NBStubHoustonPhil1902108w.jpgPart 02 - Tesla and Houston of Westinghouse and GE. To my knowledge, Tesla never successfully demonstrated the transmission of voice and music, like Stubblefield.
••• However, as seen in the photo, along with Edwin Houston, co-founder of GE is Nikola Tesla. Both were in attendance during Stubblefield's 1902 demonstration of the Stubblefield Wireless Telephony Apparatus for wirelessly transmitting a recognizable human voice to the output of various forms of Aerial /Antenna's.
••• Nathan used a modified microphone from a standard Bell System telephone as an input device for his Wireless Telephony apparatus. The human voice or other sounds, traveling at the speed of sound (approximately 0.21 miles per second) created and imposed acoustical waveforms on the diaphragm of the microphone making it move back and forth.
••• Movement of the diaphragm caused the attached carbon core of a coil to move in unison with the diaphragm, thereby modulating the carrier frequency with the pattern of the original sound. In this manner spoken Voice or Music (Acoustical Waveforms) is imposed upon electromagnetic waveforms, which travel at 187,000 miles per second (187K MPS) thus performing like a micro AC generator.
2010/Imagespeople/McFarlanePatent664300w.jpg••• Unlike Tesla's AC Power Generator, Stubblefield used this technology to provide a source input waveform to modulate the amplitude of his RF Carrier. The voice modulated carrier waveform signal was output to an Ariel or Wire Line, which performed as an Antenna.
••• The modulated RF carrier wave form was wirelessly transmitted to receiver antennas (187), and processed by an Intermediate Frequency (187 IF) Detector. The IF detector extracts the audio modulation from the waveforms and transmits it to an Earpiece where they are again converted into moving airwaves and sent (at 0.21 miles per second) to the human ear
Part 03 / The Spark Gap transmitters were popular until Stubblefield's invention. Spark Transmitters generate random noise waveforms like a jammer, not uniform waveforms capable of carrying intelligent data such as music and voice patterns. However, they worked fine for the transmission of the dots and dashes constituting the Morse Code.
••• Nathan's Transceiver maintained and wirelessly relayed definable waveforms on a continuous wavelength carrier, capable of handling any analog waveforms such as Sine Waves, Square Waves, Etc. This was quite different from the spark Generator in use until Stubblefield's invention of the Wireless Telephone, which we now commonly refer to as 'Radio'.
••• "My work as an American inventor (having been issued a scientific utility patent with 27 claims and with other patents in pending status) -- has been significantly influenced by Stubblefield, Tesla and the other "Smart Daaf" Boys. I have great appreciation for and stand in awe of each of these nine pioneering scientists and for all of their great accomplishments and contributions to science," ended MacFarlane.
